I have a Ginkgo tree out the back that I’ve had since… possibly 2012-2013.
Every autumn, the leaves turn a golden colour, and then they drop.
During winter, the tree kinda looks… dead. And I nervously wait for spring in the hopes that I haven’t actually killed the plant.
And so far, each spring, the leaves have shot out- kinda like little hands. Eventually they grow into mature leaves and provide a lush green environment for all kinds of bugs to hide in.
There’s nothing particularly exciting about this post. I just thought I’d write about the little things in life that make me happy. I think we need all we can get this year. 😅

Oh ginkgo are the best and the babies are the cutest! Hope your tree survives the winter 🙂
