For some reason, whenever I complain about a situation to someone, the situation solves itself, and I’m left standing there going- great! 😂😅
Usually it’s something mundane, like-
‘My train’s delayed! It’s stuck on the platform and it won’t move!’
Literally 10 seconds later, it starts to move. It could have been there for 15 minutes, but as soon as I hit send on that message, it starts to move.
‘Oh- nvm. It’s moving now’
Initially I felt… embarrassed? I felt silly for having complained in the first place. First world problems, right?
But then I noticed that it kept happening, and… I mean, at the end of the day, if the situation resolves itself, it’s beneficial to me.
So now I’m testing it out- here.
I have been waiting for my Ph. D Thesis examination results for almost four months now. I submitted on the 13th of March. The speed at which your result comes back depends entirely on how busy the Examiners are.
Now, I totally understand- there is a global pandemic happening right now. Everyone’s lives have been turned upside down, and people have other priorities. I can’t even graduate properly any time soon, anyway. I would rather delay the ceremony because I really want to wear that mushroom hat.
But at the same time, I’m also just super curious. 😂 So this is my outlet. When I complain, the situation usually resolves itself and I am left feeling embarrassed that I complained in the first place…
So, universe… about that Examination result…?

NVM. (That’s a new one for me) I imagine the internet will shudder when you do get your result – which I imagine is a foregone conclusion.
